Multimodal VR Simulation for Training Caregivers on Evidence-based Strategies Helping Young Children to Regulate Problematic Strong Emotions

Project Title: “Multimodal VR Simulation for Training Caregivers on Evidence-based Strategies Helping Young Children to Regulate Problematic Strong Emotions”

Project Description: Young children are experiencing rising mental health challenges, including heightened anxiety and difficulty regulating emotions, which can be overwhelming for caregivers. This project aims to develop a functional VR simulation that trains caregivers to support children with social anxiety. In the simulation, users interact with a virtual child in an ice cream shop, practicing effective strategies to encourage the child to communicate and engage with the vendor. Through this hands-on approach, caregivers can develop skills to better manage and support children's emotional and social development.
