Library XR Community Lab

The Library XR Community Lab serves as a space where students and faculty can engage in experiments and class demonstrations with virtual reality and augmented reality technology. It also serves as a central hub for students, faculty and staff members to borrow VR headsets, supporting the needs of VR Learning Initiative classes and other educational activities across the campus. With a stock of 120 Meta Quest 2 headsets, the lab is already experiencing high demand; nearly all the headsets were checked out last semester.

This lab plays a pivotal role in promoting the use of immersive technology across the University’s three campuses. Its success is evident in the widespread use of headsets by faculty from various departments. This space has significantly contributed to integrating XR into the university's educational framework.
